It is clear the Saudis are going above and beyond to impress Maccas loving US President Donald Trump during his first visit to the Middle East since 2017, paying attention to even the smallest details.

A fully functional McDonald’s food truck has been placed in Riyadh, close to where Mr Trump is meeting with Saudi officials, the White House confirmed to Fox News.

The custom built truck quickly drew attention as journalists spotted the fast-food installation near the media hub known as ‘Media Oasis’.

The truck has been designed to support the Trump Administration’s visit and the entourage of journalists accompanying them.

Images and video of the elaborate gesture are spreading rapidly on social media.

One X user jokingly asked if the soft service machines work, while a Facebook account questioned if there will be a McDonald’s on the luxury jet Mr Trump was gifted by the Qatari Royal Family.

It is not known if Mr Trump used or plans to use the portable McDonald’s.

The President’s love for the famous Golden Arches is well-known.

He visited a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania during his election campaign in 2024, where he donned an apron and served fries to voters. He even answered questions from reporters through a drive-through window.

It’s also been widely reported that he requested McDonald’s following his COVID-19 diagnosis and recovery in 2020, according to his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Mr Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday for a four-day tour of the Gulf region, as he seeks to secure trade agreements and closer economic ties. He last visited the country in 2017. He was greeted personally at the airport by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, a grand gesture which is reserved for close allies.

He is expected to hold talks on both investment and regional security issues ranging from Syria and Gaza to Iran.
