Super Mario Bros get the boot at Euro 2024 as Jasir Asani takes centre stage for Albania
One of the stories of the tournament so far, the Albanian draw against powerhouse Croatia, has also produced one of the funnier moments as Jasir Asani wore his new custom-made Super Mario boots to great effect.
Asani who nailed a perfect cross to set up the opening goal in the 11th minute was the centre of attention for his choice of footwear after the 29-year-old, took to the pitch wearing the pair of custom Super Mario Bros.-themed boots.
