She was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of staff, she was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Ms Goode had hired a Lime bike to go to watch the sunrise with her best friend.

But she was involved in a crash with another e-bike on East Drive near the student union building on the 300acre University Park lakeside complex.

Ms Goode, from South Cave, near Hull, was a talented cricketer who had represented North Cave Coal Exporters cricket club, where she played alongside her mother Wendy.

Her sister, Charlotte, wrote on social media: ‘It is heartbreaking. She was going to watch the sunrise with her best friend.

‘She was loved by so many of us and she always will be. We were all so proud of her and continue to be.’

A University of Nottingham spokesman previously said: ‘It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of one of our students on University Park campus in the early hours of Tuesday morning in a road traffic incident.

‘All of our thoughts are with friends, family and loved ones. We will continue to support our community as we process the weight of this loss.’

Detective Sergeant Paul Clark, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: ‘This is a tragic incident that I know will come as a shock to all who knew and loved the victim.’
