Los Angeles wildfires: Which celebrity homes were destroyed and which were spared in the deadly infernos
The deadly wildfires surrounding Los Angeles have been the city’s great, horrific equaliser.
Neighbourhoods from east to west have been reduced to ash, thousands of residents have had to run for their lives, and the homes of the rich and famous have gone up in flames just as easily as those of everyday Angelinos.
At least seven people have died in the blazes, which have burned for three days and forced at least 130,000 people to evacuate their homes.

More than 30,000 people have fled the Palisades fire alone, which has destroyed more than than 20,000 acres (almost 8100 hectares) of land and more than 5000 properties.
But unlike the regular LA evacuee whose home has burned to the ground, celebrities are commiserating and grieving their losses in public — to millions of followers.
Here are the stars who have lost their homes and those who have had a near miss in the fires.
Paris Hilton
The hotel heiress watched her Malibu beachfront home burn to the ground on the news.
She shared the footage to Instagram, writing she was “heartbroken beyond words”.
Hilton purchased the mid-century, 2700-square-metre house home with husband Carter Reum for more than $8 million in 2021.
Hilton returned to the property after it had been destroyed, posting a heartbreaking video of her home, some of it, still on fire.
“I’m standing here in what used to be our home, and the heartbreak is truly indescribable,” Hilton wrote.
“This house wasn’t just a place to live— It was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family.
“What breaks my heart even more is knowing that this isn’t just my story. So many people have lost everything. It’s not just walls and roofs—it’s the memories that made those houses homes.”

The Australian comedian said the West Hollywood home she shares with her wife, Ramona Agruma, and two-year-old daughter had been impacted by the fires.
Wilson shared a terrifying photo of the skyline in flames, thanking her friend Ornela, who had posted the photo, for “saving our cat”.
It is unclear how badly the Bridesmaid’s actor has been affected by the fires. It is also unclear if Wilson is currently in LA, having recently returned to Australia to celebrate a second wedding with Agruma.
Billy Crystal
The When Harry Met Sally star said in a statement he and his wife, Janice, had lost their home they lived in for 45 years.
“Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbours who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy,” Crystal said.
“Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away.”
“We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends, we will get through this. We pray for the safety of the fire fighters and first responders.
“The Pacific Palisades is a resilient community of amazing people and we know in time it will rise again. It is our home.”

Australian musician G Flip and their spouse, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause, also shared their horror at the fires.
The couple evacuated their A$5.3 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills to take shelter in G’s studio.
“Immediate evacuation in my area,” Stause captioned a post to Instagram.
“Me, G, and Gracie are safe and out of the house.”
She later posted a video where she explained the fire threatening her and G’s home was “put out quickly” by aerial firefighting crews.
“Thank God they put the fire out quickly, if it happened the night before when the winds were happening and they weren’t allowed to fly it would have been a completely different story,” she said.
“We’re still in a red zone, so that means we still have to leave at any moment’s notice.”

“Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone,” she wrote.
Most of Moore’s home survived, however the carnage around her was overwhelming for the star.
“Our favourite restaurants, levelled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too.”
Moore and her now-husband, Taylor Goldsmith, searched for a year before buying a home in the area, Architectural Digest wrote in 2018, describing it as “the perfect spot to begin their life together, high atop a Pasadena hill, in a classic 1950s home with sweeping vistas of the San Gabriel mountains and valley.”

Mathison shared footage of the charred remains of his home, still burning, writing “This is what’s left”.
In the video, he appears to walk along a footpath toward where the house has crumbled — along grass and hedging that is remarkably unscathed — and looks into the destroyed property.
“Our home where our kids were raised and where they wanted to raise their own someday,” Mathison wrote.

“I felt weird saying that with so many people we know and don’t who are not OK,” Teigen wrote.

He told the Sydney Morning Herald his Olympic and World Championship medals likely melted in the fire.
“Everyone wants to know did the medals burn? Yeah, everything burnt. It’s something I can live without. I guess everything is just stuff. It’ll take some hard work to start over. What can you do?”

The 78-year-old Schitts Creek star’s home — which he had owned for almost 20 years — burned to the ground.
The relatively modest two-storey, three-bedroom home reportedly dated back to 1950 and featured a set of curving steps leading up from the driveway to the front door.
His son, Dan Levy posted a heartfelt tribute to Los Angeles on social media, but did not confirm whether his father’s home had been affected.
