A group of around 30 influencers stepped aboard a luxurious Lamborghini Tecnomar to enjoy a relaxing cruise around Miami Beach on Saturday but it started to go horribly wrong when the boat started taking on water and the $4million yacht started to sink.

The Coast Guard and Good Samariton boat quickly came to help the sinking yacht and shared details of rescue on social media.

“A U.S. Coast Guard Station Miami Beach crew and partner agencies responded to a 63-foot vessel taking on water near Monument Island, rescuing 32 people with no injuries reported around 5pm, Saturday.”

Many influencers seemed unbothered by the sinking yacht and continued to take selfies throughout the rescue while others prioritised saving their most prized possessions, including a MacBook and a $350 bottle of Clase Azul Gold tequila.

The expensive bottle of booze was cradled by former Miss America competitor Regan Hartley on a rescue boat while someone else shouted, “The baby is safe,” according to the Sun.

Some of the influencers have shared videos of the ordeal on their social media pages, Luis Leon Martinez a self-proclaimed Miami Guide with over 250,000 followers has shared multiple videos of the influencers being rescued, showing many of them laughing, drinking and passing their designer handbags to members of the coast guard.

“Women and children first, women and children,” a man can be heard jokingly shouting as some of the women laugh from the rescue boat.

Many were shocked by the blasé response from the group and flooded the videos with comments.

“Everyone on the sinking yacht taking selfies” one person commented.

“No f–ks given,” another wrote.

It still remains unclear exactly why the boat sank but commentors on the Coast Guard’s Facebook post have speculated that there was too many people on board the 63-foot vessel.

“The tecnomar Lamborghini 63 is CE certified by RINA for 12 pax….. 32 is a way overloaded” one person wrote.

“Over capacity against the law for a Bare boat charter. Typical Miami” another suggested.

Authorities have not identified the owner of the yacht nor details of why it went under.

“We saw, like, a bunch of cop boats, like police boats, and there was another yacht that was flipped over, completely vertical in the water,” witness Rachel Miller told WSVN-TV News.
