Pope Leo XIV: New pontiff’s brother, Louis Prevost, under spotlight for Nancy Pelosi ‘drunk c***’ post

As the Catholic faithful around the world continue to celebrate the election of the first American-born pontiff, Pope Leo XIV, one of his brothers has come under the spotlight for a raft of expletive-laden social media political posts.
Louis Prevost, has been unearthed as a staunch MAGA supporter who is not afraid to air his thoughts online, most notably using Facebook to call former Democratic Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi a “drunk c***”.
Days after cardinals from around the world emerged from the Sistine Chapel conclave to announce Chicago native Robert Prevost had been elected as the next Pope, a range of social media posts have been discovered with his brother attacking opponents of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party in the US.

“Do they not know that there is a thing called video?
“Just listen to what this drunk c*** has to say in the mid-90’s long before her husband had Grindr dates.”

“Where the woke lived before the ‘70’s,” with an image depicting a mental asylum from The Simpsons television show, was also re-posted by Mr Prevost to which he added the word “True”.
The Daily Mail reports that Mr Prevost also went on a rant against supporters of former US President Joe Biden in 2024, saying: “Please pray for the 33 percent who approve of Biden, that they be healed of their mental affliction”.
US President Donald Trump’s statements on migration and his plans to deport illegal immigrants and crime gang members, also seemed to strike chord with Mr Prevost.

“Seems like we are in a war right here at home. A war for our streets and neighbourhood,” he wrote in 2024.
“Between the gangs and the illegals creating all sorts of havoc without any punishment, and the current administration just keeps letting criminals pour across our borders.”
Pope Leo has been an advocate for gun control and migration, with Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist saying the Chicagoan as the “worst pick for MAGA Catholics” and deemed him the “anti-Trump pope”.

Mr Prevost said he was stunned when he watched the conclusion of the Conclave and saw his brother emerge from the Vatican on Thursday and mentioned their childhood with their other brother John.
“We used to tease him about being Pope because he always had that holy way about him,” he said.
“The neighbours on the street … a lot of them used to say, ‘You’re going to grow up to be pope one day, Robert.’ Our brother? Pope? Nah. Not going to happen.
“It was like, Oh, that’s Rob ... oh my God ... yay, Rob!”
Mr Prevost said in his most recent phone call with his brother, they discussed the Conclave shortly before the process began.
“We talked a little bit about it and I said, ‘You know what happens if you win? If they vote for you? Are you going to accept it?’ he recalled.
“I will accept it ... It’s God’s will. It’s in his hands,” the Pope replied.
