A 130-year-old cottage at Bulli is on the market, one of a series of eye-catching character homes currently for sale in the region.

‘Colemans Cottage’, formerly a schoolhouse, contains an array of period features, including fretwork and stained glass.

The five-bedroom home is located at 24 Colemans Lane, Bulli.

The home at 5 Bean Street, Thirroul is for sale with a price guide of $2.8 million to $2.9 million.

According to CoreLogic records, the home was built in 1910.

Although modernised and extended throughout the years, the cottage’s original features include ornate cornices, and original restored and recently polished floorboards.

Sitting on 1132 square metres, the four-bedroom home features two large, separate living areas with timber floors and slow combustion fireplace.

There’s also a new 10kW solar system plus rainwater tank, as well as self-watering organic raised vegetable beds, fruit and nut trees, and passionfruit vine.
