Aldi British week: Aussie supermarket brings UK treats like Munchies, Wotsits, Galaxy to middle aisle
From Worcestershire sauce chips to chocolate teacakes, homesick Brits can bag all of their favourite treats.

Homesick Brits have a reason to celebrate, with Aldi’s annual British Week returning to stores across Australia packed with nostalgic snacks and supermarket favourites.
The limited-time range hit shelves on July 8 and will only be available while stocks last.
Among the biggest drawcards are the return of three classic Smith’s chip (or “crisp”) flavours from the UK — Prawn Cocktail, Cheese & Pickle and Worcestershire Sauce — alongside the much-loved cheesy corn snack, Wotsits.

Shoppers can also get their hands on Swizzels Squashies gummies ($3.79), while popular British chocolates including Cadbury Pouch Buttons ($5.49) and Galaxy chocolate blocks ($4.99) have also made a return.
A British influencer has taken to social media to share her favourite picks from Aldi’s British Week range, urging shoppers to get in quickly before popular items sell out.
“Attention all Brits, Aldi are having their annual British Week. It started today, July 8. I just went straight there from work, and I’m going to show you what I picked up,” she said.
Among her haul were Munchies, Orange and Mint Club biscuits, Bisto gravy, Irn-Bru and several classic British crisp flavours.
She was particularly excited to stock up on Tunnock’s Chocolate Teacakes after discovering them during last year’s promotion.
“I ate these so quickly last year,” she said.
Bisto gravy was another must-have.
“Gravy, of course. I’ve already got this and use it all the time. Mine’s actually nearly run out.”
The Brisbane-based Brit also couldn’t resist her “lifelong favourite” Smith’s Prawn Cocktail crisps, before showing a packet of the Worcestershire Sauce flavour.
“More crisps. I’m still not calling them chips. They are crisps,” she joked.
After showing off her UK goodies, she warned fellow shoppers not to wait too long.
“I’ve no doubt it will clear out quickly. It did last year, so get down there while you can.”
