Amart Furniture Rochedale: Police shoot man after he allegedly threatened officers with a knife at warehouse
A man in his 40s has been left in a serious condition after being shot by police following an alleged knife incident at a furniture warehouse.
Officers were called to the Amart Furniture warehouse in Rochedale around 5.50am on Monday following reports of a disturbance.
The location is a storage facility and office for the furniture provider.

Police used a taser on the man, which proved ineffective, and as the man continued advancing, police discharged a single shot.
The man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition after receiving immediate medical assistance at the scene.
No police officers or members of the public were injured during the incident.
The matter is now under investigation by the ethical standards command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
