Australians riled up after ‘cringe’ Aussie accent attempt for discount at CC’s Coffee House in America

An American coffee chain’s creative marketing campaign has garnered attention Down Under — but not for the right reasons.
CC’s Coffee House, based in Louisiana, gained traction online after footage of a promotional sign at one of their location’s drive thru speaker post’s was uploaded to TikTok.
“Place your order in your best Australian accent. Get ten per cent off. Have fun with it,” the sign stated.

“Alright mate, can I please get a super grande iced white mocha decaf with oat milk? And can I have cinnamon on top?” she asked in an accent that sounded more like a British-American mix.
“Was that Australian enough?” she asks the staff member.
After a pause the worker replies: “Yeah.”
An army of unimpressed Aussies shared their disappointment in the comments section, with many saying she didn’t pass the test.
“As an Australia she didn’t deserve that discount,” one person said.
“Cringing in Australian right now,” another added.
“I’m appalled as an Australian,” said a third.
Another questioned: “As an Australian I would’ve charged you extra $10 – what was that??”
