Former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle.

Lehrmann, 29, is due to face Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday morning to enter a plea.

The matter before Magistrate Reg Marron is scheduled from 9.30am.
