Family taking it ‘day by day’ after baby, mother injured in alleged Northern Territory home invasion
A two-month-old baby struck in the head with an iron pole during an alleged home invasion remains in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, with her mother by her side.
Two teens allegedly stormed the family’s property in the western suburbs of Alice Springs on Wednesday.

It is understood mother Nicole was injured too when she was struck with an iron bar across the cheek.
The family told 7NEWS that doctors have described Antonia’s condition as stable, but they are taking it day by day.
The little girl’s dad remains in Alice Springs where he is caring for the couple’s other children.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support the family.
“Dad Marlon remains in Alice Springs to take care of their other four children so cannot work at this time,” according to the online fundraiser.
“Christmas plays such a big part to the Siguenza’s and we’re praying they can all be together soon.
“Donations, prayers, messages of support, any help, is most valued at this time.”
Violent break-in
Two boys aged 16 and 17 allegedly broke into a home on Bokhara St, in Larapinta about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
The woman was holding her baby when one of the teens threatened and assaulted her with a blunt weapon, police allege.
The woman’s handbag and her car keys were allegedly stolen before the two teens fled the scene on foot.
Police made two arrests shortly after.
