Food recall: Bellevue Orchard Summer Snow pink lady and granny smith apple juices pulled over mould concerns

A popular beverage has been urgently pulled from shelves after the nation’s food watchdog raised the alarm over contamination fears. 

Popular beverages have been recalled over concerns of mould contamination.

Food Standards Australia issued a recall warning for two juices produced by Bellevue Orchard.

The one litre bottles of Summer Snow - Pink Lady Apple Juice with the best before date of 12/03/2027 and 08/03/2027 are impacted.

These bottles were available for purchase at Farmer’s Pick and Royal Foods in Victoria and online.

Another product recalled is two litre bottles of Summer Snow - Granny Smith Apple Juice with a best before date of 29/03/2027.

This product was sold at independent food retailers, including in-store and online at IGA.

There are concerns that the pasteurisation process was unsuccessful, resulting in mould contamination.

Consumers have been advised not to drink the juice for fears it could cause illness.

Anyone who has purchased the impacted products is urged to return the items to the place of purchase, where they will be eligible for a full refund.

The recall comes one week after Food Standards Australia pulled a popular snack from the shelves over concerns over an undeclared allergen.

A recall warning was issued for Kaisi Melbourne Pty Ltd Wu Xian Zhai Soybean Snacks Five Spice Flavour, Sauce Flavour and Spicy Flavour 108g on Tuesday.

The products, which are sold at Asian supermarkets across Victoria, are being pulled from shelves after an undetected egg allergen was detected.

People who purchased the snack marked with the best before date of 12/10/2026 and who have an egg allergy are advised to not eat the product or risk having a reaction.
