Glenroy drive-by shooting: Police investigating after tobacco store targeted amid gang wars
Shots have been fired into a Melbourne tobacco store from a moving vehicle in the latest chapter of the city’s smoke shop wars.
Victoria Police detectives are investigating after a car passenger is believed to have shot at the store on Belair Avenue in Glenroy about 11.30pm on Thursday.
A group of people were inside at the time but fled before police arrived.

Police say the fires are linked to a conflict between crime syndicates.
Authorities say attractive profit margins from illicit tobacco sales have created an environment where organised crime groups were aggressively and violently competing for market share.
