Gosford stabbing: Teen charged with murder after 22-year-old man dies following Mann Street attack

A teenager has been refused bail after being charged with murder over a fatal stabbing in Gosford that left a 22-year-old man dead.

A teenage boy has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man on the NSW Central Coast earlier this week.

Emergency services were called to Mann Street in Gosford about 7.30pm on Tuesday after reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District arrived to find the 22-year-old suffering stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Gosford Hospital.

The man later died in hospital.

Following extensive investigations, police arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 45-year-old woman at a home in Lake Haven about 1.30am on Saturday.

The pair were taken to Wyong Police Station, where the teenager was charged with murder.

He was refused bail and is due to appear before the Children’s Bail Court on Saturday.

The 45-year-old woman was charged with hinder apprehension person who committed serious offence. She was also refused bail and is scheduled to appear before Bail Division Court 6 on Saturday.

Police inquiries into the incident are continuing.
