Human bone found at Perth beach, WA Police say

A bone located at a popular Perth beach over the weekend has been determined to be human.

A member of the public saw the bone at Cottesloe Beach in Perth about 9am on Saturday before they called the Surf Life Saving Club and Western Australia Police.

It has since undergone forensic testing and been confirmed as a human remain.

WA Police said further testing will be done to match the bone to any outstanding missing persons.
