Some other items were located nearby, police said, but it’s still unclear what they are and whether they’re relevant to the investigation.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the bones were found in the dunes by a regeneration volunteer about 10m from a popular picnic spot.

Investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
