Investigation underway after woman pulled from water dies at Bondi Beach

Emergency services performed CPR but the woman could not be revived.

A woman believed to be aged in her 30s has drowned at Bondi Beach in Sydney.

A woman has died after being pulled from the water at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.

Emergency services were called to the beach about 12.20am on Sunday following reports a woman was unresponsive in the water at the southern end of the beach.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command removed the woman and immediately performed CPR, but she could not be revived.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, is yet to be formally identified.

Police have launched an investigation and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
