Is Telstra down? Mobile service, data down for thousands of the service network’s users

A major telco is reportedly down, impacting thousands of users across the country.

Thousands of Telstra users have been reporting issues with the service provider on Wednesday morning.

More than 7000 users have reported problems with Telstra.

At 6.37am (4.37am WA time) on Wednesday, website Downdetector indicated that 7649 users were having issues.

It appears that they were first reported around 4am and are mostly impacting mobile signal and internet.

However, some users have said broadband internet has been impacted too.

There have been reports of issues in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and locations in Victoria.

One commenter on Downdetector said they were not able to contact triple zero.

A Telstra spokesperson confirmed the outage but did not say how long it is expected to remain.

“We’re looking into an issue affecting some mobile calls and data connections,” they said.

“If you’re having trouble connecting, try again as it may work on a retry.

“We’re on it and will share an update as soon as it’s fixed.

“Thanks for sticking with us.”
