Keep cups sold at Kmart and Target have bee recalled over a design error that causes the lid to pop off when pressure builds from the steam inside.

This fault can cause serious burn injuries since the double-walled Anko travel mugs are often bought to carry coffee and other hot liquids.

“When the cup is filled with hot liquid, the lid may rapidly release and pop off as there is no pressure release valve,” the Product Safety recall said.
