Logan Motorway lanes closed as Queensland Police issue PSPA in Kingston and Loganlea due to hazardous smoke
A B-double truck has erupted in flames following a crash on a major Queensland motorway.
The truck collided with another vehicle on the Logan Motorway near Kingston Road at Loganlea about 8.15pm on Tuesday.
The motorway was closed in both directions as Queensland Police issued an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) near Kingston and Loganlea due to hazardous smoke.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.The exclusion zone encompasses a stretch of the motorway including the Wembley Road off-ramp and on-ramp, Station Road, Logan Motorway on-ramp and Kingston Road.
“Motorists and members of the public are advised to avoid the area, and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors and close their windows until further notice,” it said.
Westbound lanes have since reopened, however, diversions are in place eastbound on the motorway.
Queensland Ambulance transported one patient to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
Paramedics were also on standby at the scene, a spokesperson said.
