A man was left fighting for life after he was struck near a 7-Eleven service station in Perth’s southeast on Monday night.

The alleged offender fled the scene, leaving the 38-year-old pedestrian in a serious condition, about 7.30pm.

The 38-year-old was struck by a dark-coloured vehicle travelling north on Albany Hwy, WA Police allege.

The driver allegedly failed to stop and help the victim, and drove away.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit.

Investigations are ongoing, and anyone who saw the crash or who was driving along the highway on Monday evening has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
