Mary River: Search unsuccessful for man spotted in River at Tinana, Queensland

A man who was last seen in a Queensland river is now missing.

The 26-year-old man was spotted in the Mary River in Tinana, near Maryborough in the Fraser Coast region, about 5.44pm on Tuesday.

He has not been seen since.

He has a shaved head and brown eyes, and is about 165cm tall.

It’s understood he went into the river voluntarily before disappearing from sight.

His disappearance is not believed to be related to heavy rain in the region.

Emergency crews searched late into Tuesday and will search again on Wednesday, with police divers expected to be involved.
