On Tuesday, Simone and Viviana appeared on The Morning Show, where he made the announcement.

“Yes. I’m going to be a dad. And yes, it’s coming very soon,” an elated Simone said.

He said he would use the MKR prize money to prepare for the baby’s arrival.

“We need to be ready for it. So obviously, this grand final prize will be very helpful.”

A lot of fans had assumed Simone and Viviana were a couple, however, the pair are close friends — and Morning Show host Larry Emdur wanted to know if the pressure of competing on MKR had strained that bond.

“I think that our friendship definitely grew stronger,” Viviana said.

“Simone and I, even when we argue, we argue for like five minutes, but then we’re very solution-oriented.

“So like, I think that this really helped us in our friendship.”

Simone and Vivana appeared on the show alongside mother and son team, Kaz and Fergus, against whom they will be competing in the grand final of the show.

And Kaz and Fergus also had some big plans for the prize money, should they win.

“If we manage to take it out and mum and I have been working on getting a little restaurant built at mum’s joint in Tassie, and that’s going to go, a lot of that money is going to go towards that,” Fergus said.

“So, we’re going to try our hardest and yeah it would be life-changing.”

The MKR Grand Final airs 7.30pm Tuesday on Channel 7 and 7plus.
