New South Wales teacher charged with alleged child grooming, possessing child sexual abuse material
Online communication spanning four years with a teenage girl was allegedly uncovered.
A 35-year-old teacher has been charged for allegedly grooming a child over a four-year period.
On Tuesday, detectives were notified after child abuse material was detected, linked to a person in Sydney’s south-west.
At 6am on Thursday, a search warrant was executed at a home in Bardia, where electronic devices were seized.

Online communication between the man and a teenage girl from 2021 to 2025 was allegedly uncovered.
The man was arrested and taken to a police station where he was charged with three counts of possessing child abuse material, two counts of using a carriage service to procure a person under the age of 16 for sexual activity, three counts of causing a child 14 and over to make child abuse material, using a carriage service to engage in sexual activity with a child, and possessing child abuse data using a carriage service.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in court on Friday.
The alleged crimes were uncovered as part of Strike Force Trawler, an investigation into the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through the internet and electronic devices.
