They said they were shocked judges gave a sentence below the 18 years requested by prosecutors.

Pre-meditated murder in Indonesia carries a maximum penalty of death by firing squad.

A third co-accused, 27-year-old Sydney man Darcy Jenson, was tried separately and was later sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Prosecutors had initially labelled him a ‘mastermind’ behind the plot, before requesting he be given 17 years.

During the trial Jenson admitted to arranging transport, accommodation, and other logistics for the gunmen.

But he said he thought he was simply running errands for an unnamed boss in Australia and had no idea about the violent end goal.

The trio, dubbed the “Bali 3,” were originally charged over the brutal murder of Radmanovic during an alleged shooting at Villa Casa Santisya in Bali in June 2025.

The attack reportedly involved a premeditated shooting ambush, in which Radmanovic was shot dead in front of his wife, Jazmyn Gourdeas, who survived the attack.

At the time of the shooting, Gourdeas was in Bali celebrating a birthday with Radmanovic, her sister Daniella and Daniella’s partner, Sanar Ghanim.

Ghanim, a Melbourne underworld figure, was also shot and injured but survived.

The trio were arrested after an international manhunt.

The three Australians appeared under heavy security at the same courthouse where Schapelle Corby and the Bali Nine learned their fate.

In earlier hearings, Jenson delivered an emotional apology directly to Gourdeas, saying he was sorry for his actions that led to her husband’s death.
