Body of missing man found floating in Sydney Harbour

The body of a man reported missing after leaving an inner-city bar has been found floating in Sydney Harbour.

The 26-year-old was last seen after a night out in Barangaroo shortly after 3.30am on Sunday.

He was reported missing about 6pm that evening.

Following extensive inquiries and a multi-agency search with help from NSW Police’s Marine Area Command and PolAir, a body was found in the water about 12.45pm on Monday.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the 26-year-old man.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
