Broadway Shopping Centre: Wild footage surfaces of brawl as police hunt for teens involved

Dramatic footage has surfaced of a group of youths hurling metal chairs at a boy and screaming expletives in a wild brawl at a busy shopping centre in Sydney’s inner west.
The terrifying scene unfolded around 5.50pm on Wednesday when a group of teenagers confronted another boy in the food court area at Broadway Shopping Centre in Glebe.
Police say an argument erupted shortly after, which involved chairs being thrown several metres.

“Imagine if one of the chairs flew over the rails, down the levels, could kill a child,” one user commented on the video, which has now amassed over 1.5 million views.
One of the teenagers involved is even seen riding a motorbike inside the shopping centre.
“Little rats, ew!” the woman filming the video can be heard saying as stunned shoppers watched the teens run from the scene.
Some questioned online why security didn’t intervene earlier.
“I’m sorry guys but am I the only one like WHERE IS SECURITY??!!!” one user wrote.
“Security was standing next to me recording,” the user who shared the video revealed in the comments.
A search is now underway for the group of teenagers involved.
“Police were told a group of teenagers had confronted another boy in the food court area before an argument began,” a statement from NSW Police read.
“The group then began to throw chairs at the boy, with some chairs falling to the lower levels of the shopping centre. The group and the boy left before police arrived; no injuries have been reported.
“Police immediately commenced an investigation into the incident and are appealing for anyone with information or vision of the incident to come forward.”
