NSW Police sergeant charged over alleged domestic violence assault and threatening texts
A serving NSW Police officer has been charged after allegedly assaulting a woman known to her and sending threatening messages while on duty.
A serving NSW Police sergeant has been charged over an alleged domestic violence incident in Sydney’s inner west.
NSW Police said an investigation began in June 2026 following a report that the female officer allegedly assaulted a 50-year-old woman known to her at a home in Lilyfield on January 8.
The alleged incident occurred while the 46-year-old sergeant, who is attached to the Central Metropolitan Region, was on duty.

Following inquiries, the sergeant was served with a Court Attendance Notice on Wednesday, August 5, for common assault and using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend.
She is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday, September 25.
“The officer’s employment status is under review and she remains in the workplace on restricted duties,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
