NSW Police were called to Buzzy Bee’s Burger House on Oxford Street at Cambridge Park, near Penrith, following reports of an alleged assault about 9.40am on Saturday.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command arrived at the scene and found the bodies of shop owners and parents Hoa Tek Chiem, 69, and Heang Kim Gau, 68, with significant injuries, NSW Police said.

“The family are obviously devastated,” NSW Police Detective Superintendent Michael Cantrell said.
After the shocking discovery police began inquiries, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, and a crime scene was established.
“Following inquiries, about 12.30am Sunday, police arrested a 31-year-old man at a home at Canley Heights.” NSW Police said.
Police now believe the alleged attack was targeted and will allege in court all three people were known to each other.
“All motives are being considered at this point in time” Det. Superintendent Cantrell said. “(But) we have no intelligence to suggest that there’s any further threat.”
Det. Superintendent Cantrell said police were also looking into video footage released of the incident.
“I’m aware that there is footage around, and it’s been through social media, and we’re looking into that,” he said.
The man was charged with two counts of domestic violence related murder and was refused bail. He will appear at Parramatta Local Court later today.
The owners and parents ran the takeaway shop for 30 years and their deaths have left the community shocked and in mourning.
“Great people, great food. It’s heartbreaking,” one local told 7NEWS.
