Caringbah: Teen suffers serious head injuries after falling from back of train in Sydney’s south

A teenager is in hospital with serious injuries after falling from the back of a train before being discovered lying near tracks in a busy rail corridor.
Police responded to calls from people at the Caringabah Station in Sydney’s southern shire at around 6pm on Monday, following reports that a person had fallen onto the tracks.
Concerned witnesses told officers that the 13-year-old boy had fallen off the back of a train onto the tracks, police said in a statement.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Police and Fire and Rescue NSW officers initiated a search and found the boy near the tracks in the rail corridor between the Woolooware and Caringbah platforms.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious head and arm injuries before being taken to the Sydney Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
The teenager remains in hospital in a serious condition and two other boys – aged 12 and 13 – are assisting police with inquiries.
