Chatswood: Teenager arrested after shopping trolley, allegedly thrown over railing, lands on man at shops

A teenage girl has been arrested at a major shopping centre after she allegedly threw a shopping trolley over an elevated railing before it landed on a man below.
The busy shopping precinct on Sydney’s north shore was thrown into chaos after the man suffered serious injuries when the steel shopping trolley landed on him without warning
Police responded to emergency calls just after 11.50am on Monday, following reports the man had been hit by the shopping trolley on Victoria Avenue, Chatswood.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for head and facial injuries before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
A 13-year-old girl was quickly arrested at the scene and taken to Chatswood Police Station where she has been questioned about the incident.
A crime scene has been established and police have seized the shopping trolley to be forensically examined.
