A luxury Mercedes G-Wagon worth $200,000 was destroyed in a suspicious fire in Chester Hill, Sydney, around 11pm last night. Police are conducting a manhunt for suspects who were seen fleeing in a black Mercedes sedan.

Police have launched an investigation after a luxury Mercedes was destroyed in a suspicious late-night fire in Sydney’s West.

Emergency services were called to Barbers Road in Chester Hill shortly before 10.40pm on Tuesday following reports of a vehicle engulfed in flames.

When officers arrived, they found a Mercedes-Benz G-Class wagon, a model that can retail for more than $200,000, already well alight.

No injuries were reported.

Police confirmed with The Nightly that the fire is being treated as suspicious, and detectives have established a crime scene as investigations continue into how the fire started and who may be responsible.
