Croydon Park shooting: Man arrested after firing shots on Georges River Road, firearms seized

A man has been arrested after an area in Sydney’s inner west was plunged into lockdown on Sunday evening as police responded to a shooting.
Police swarmed Croydon Park about 7.45pm after reports a number of gunshots were fired from the roof of a building on Georges River Road near the intersection of Brighton Avenue.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed one man in his 50s presented himself to Canterbury Hospital with a gunshot wound.

Another person was treated at the scene in Croydon Park and was transported to hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Police confirmed they arrested a man about 9.30pm inside a building on Georges River Road and seized firearms.
“Road closures remain with local traffic diversions in place,” police said.
