Dee Why Beach: Body located, washed up in Sydney

A body has been found at a popular Sydney beach, with authorities quickly shutting down the area.

Police were called to Dee Why on Tuesday morning following reports a man’s body had washed ashore.

It is understood that the body is not related to a shark attack, or the ongoing search for a swimming who went missing at another Sydney beach, Maroubra.

It is understood that the person is yet to be formally identified and missing person reports are currently being checked to assist.
