A man has now been charged after one man was killed and two others were injured in a violent series of incidents at a property in Eungella yesterday.

Emergency crews were called to Tyalgum Road about 1.25pm on Wednesday, roughly 10km west of Murwillumbah, following reports of a shooting.

Police were told two men, aged 38 and 41, had allegedly been shot by another man, who fled the scene with a fourth man.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 41-year-old at the property for a gunshot wound, but he died at the scene. He has not yet been formally identified.

A short time later, officers were alerted to a second incident along Tyalgum Road, where a 45-year-old man was allegedly struck by a ute. He was taken to the hospital, where he remains under police guard.

The 38-year-old shot earlier presented to the hospital for treatment for a gunshot wound.

Police have established multiple crime scenes and launched an investigation under Strike Force Bray, led by officers from Tweed/Byron Police District with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Following inquiries, detectives, supported by the Dog Squad, arrested the fourth man, aged 36, about 6.40pm the same day in bushland near Tumbulgum Road.

He was taken to Tweed Heads Police Station and charged with murder.

He has been refused bail to appear at Bail court on Thursday.

Inquiries under Strike Force Bray remain ongoing.
