A nine-year-old girl has died after being pulled unconscious from a backyard pool.
Emergency services rushed to an Edensor Park home on Rosaki Close in Sydney’s west at about 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon following the discovery of the child.
The primary school-aged girl was in a critical condition when she was rushed by paramedics to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where she died a short time later.

Five ambulance crews, including a specialist intensive care unit, rushed to the scene to help resuscitate the child.
Aerial shots from the scene showed a number of police officers standing at the side of the house and inflatable doughnuts and noodles floating in the pool.
Police remained at the scene on Sunday night.
An investigation is ongoing, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
