Greenacre shooting: Teenager rushed to hospital after being shot in chest twice in Sydney’s west
Paramedics arrived to find the teenager had suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest.
A teenager has been rushed to hospital after he was shot twice during a shooting in Sydney’s west on Thursday night.
New South Wales Police were called to Mimosa Road in Greenacre about 9pm after receiving reports of a a public shooting.
When officers arrived they were told an 18-year-old male had been shot in the chest on Banksia Street before he was driven nearby to Mimosa Street in a Skoda SUV.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.First responders attended the scene on Mimosa Street where they treated the teenager for two gunshot wounds before he was taken to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established at both locations. Police are now questioning the driver of the vehicle and have seized the car as part of their investigation.
Later, about 3am on Friday, police were called to a car fire on Celia Street, Granville, which they believe may be linked to the shooting.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze but the Toyota Hilux was badly damaged as a result of the fire.
Police have established a third crime scene where the car inferno took place as they investigate further.
