Greystanes: Urgent police warning after shootout in western Sydney

Police have issued an urgent warning to avoid the area after shots were fired into a car in Sydney’s western suburbs on Friday.

Emergency services have locked down an area of Greystanes as police attempt to establish if there is still a risk to the community after the shots were fired.

Just after 12pm on Friday, officers responded to the incident in Victor Street, following reports of gunshots being fired from inside one vehicle towards another.

Police are reporting that soon after the shooting, the the two vehicles involved drove away from the scene.

Investigators are on the scene and are advising members of the public avoid the area.
