Horror as man dragged from car in alleged shooting and kidnapping from Bass Hill home

The moment a man is dragged from his car during an alleged armed kidnapping in Sydney’s south-west has been captured on CCTV footage.

Wild footage has revealed the moment a man was dragged from his car in an alleged kidnapping in Sydney’s southwest.

Police allege a 43-year-old man was getting out of his car on Coraki Rd in Bass Hill about 10.30pm on Tuesday when he was approached by three unknown men.

Dramatic footage obtained by 7News showed a white sedan pulling up in the dead-end street before two men emerged and hiding.

A short time later, a white ute pulled up to the quiet street, before one of the men was seen running towards the driver.

Police allege the “unknown” man pulled out a firearm and fired it as they detained the 43-year-old.

Wild CCTV footage showed three man drag the 43-year-old from his car, each holding a limb as they ran down the street.

He was pulled across the suburban street before the men piled him into the white car, speeding off.

The Robbery and Serious Crime Squad were informed and began inquiries to safely recover the man.

Police confirmed the 43-year-old was released about 10.45am Thursday, and has been transported to hospital for treatment.
