Heartbreaking new details have emerged about a ‘hardworking’ father of three who was allegedly stabbed to death in Sydney’s west.

A Sydney father of three has been identified as the man who was stabbed in an alleged murder in western Sydney on Friday.
Joshua Smith, 36, was allegedly stabbed by a 13-year-old boy on the evening of October 9 in Mount Druitt.
Police say Mr Smith had met a group of young family friends and was withdrawing money from an ATM to help them get home, when he was allegedly stabbed by the teen who was nearby.

“As a result of that, we now stand here today with that 36-year-old male now (allegedly) murdered.”
Police say up to 12 people were in the vicinity when the attack occurred.
Mr Smith has been described as a “beautiful” father of three young children who will be “forever missed” by his family and friends.
“He made people smile, laugh, and most of all lived for his children,” friend Lauren Partridge said on GoFundMe.
“Joshua Smith was a hardworking dad whose life was suddenly and tragically taken. He leaves behind three beautiful children who have lost their dad far too soon.

“No child should ever have to grow up without their father.”
The GoFundMe has raised $8,900 at time of publication.
A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on Sunday evening, and was charged with murder — accessory after the fact.
The two teenagers were refused bail and are expected to appear in a children’s court on Monday.
