Kidnap accused caught after woman endures ransom ordeal on NSW Mid North Coast
A woman has allegedly been kidnapped, forced into a vehicle and sexually assaulted before her accused captor was arrested and charged hours later.
The man allegedly arrived at a home on the NSW Mid North Coast on Wednesday and detained the woman before leaving a ransom note, and then forced her into a vehicle and sexually assaulted her.
The ransom was allegedly paid and the woman released at Crescent Head around noon.

He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault - deprive liberty, aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence - people there, take/detain person with intent to hold to ransom, and demand with menaces intend obtain gain/cause loss.
He was formally refused bail at Kempsey Local Court on Thursday and will appear before the same court on March 19.
