Leumeah: PolAir locate driver after pedestrian killed in alleged hit-and-run in Sydney’s south west

A pedestrian has died following an alleged hit-and-run in Sydney’s south west.
Around 10am on Tuesday, emergency services responded to Junction Road, Leumeah, after reports of a serious crash.
A 46-year-old man was struck by a Mitsubishi sedan while exiting another vehicle. The sedan then fled the scene, according to a police statement.

Police have arrested the alleged driver, a 77-year-old woman, after PolAir located her vehicle at a nearby sports centre.
She has been taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.
Police are urging anyone with information, dashcam footage or CCTV to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
This is the second fatal hit-and-run in Sydney’s west in less than a week.
A man is behind bars for allegedly hitting a woman with his car and leaving her for dead on the road in Penrith on Thursday.
Reports suggest the woman was struck by an orange ute before it allegedly sped away from the scene.
