Liverpool: Woman charged with attempted murder after she allegedly threw two children into Georges River
Chilling details have emerged as police charged a woman with attempted murder after two children were thrown into a river in Sydney.
The woman has been charged following an alleged attempt last year to drown the two children in Sydney’s southwest.
At about 10.30am on Monday September 11, 2023, emergency services were called to Riverpark Drive, Liverpool, following reports of a concern for a welfare.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 36-year-old woman at the scene before she was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
On the same day, emergency services were called to the Georges River near Riverpark Drive, Liverpool, following reports of two children in the water.
Officers attended and were told two girls – aged seven and eight – had been rescued from the river by a passerby.
They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for further assessments.
A crime scene was established, and investigations commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The 37-year-old woman was released from hospital on Wednesday and following an extensive investigation, detectives arrested the woman before being taken to Liverpool police station, where she was charged with two counts of attempt to drown a person with intent to murder (DV).
Police will allege in court the woman threw the two girls into the water.
She was refused bail and appeared before Liverpool Local Court.
