M1 Morisset: Major highway closed after truck crash fatality, traffic diversion chaos

The M1 motorway is closed after a horror truck crash left one driver dead, with major disruptions expected for drivers as the evening peak builds on the NSW Central Coast.
At about 2.45pm on Tuesday, emergency services responded to reports of the crash between two trucks in the south-bound lanes of the roadway at Morisset.
The male driver of one of the trucks, who is yet to be identified, had already died prior to emergency services arriving at the scene, police said.

All south-bound lanes of the M1 are now closed and traffic diversions have been implemented. The roadway is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time and police are urging motorists to avoid the area.
