Man dead after being found unresponsive by side of the Great Western Highway
A man has died after he was found unresponsive by a NSW highway.
He was found at the intersection of the Great Western Highway and Sinclair Crescent in Leura — in the Blue Mountains — about 11pm on Friday.
The man had suffered serious injuries to his head and torso.

“The man is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be in his 40s,” NSW Police said.
A short time later, a 50-year-old man self-presented at Katoomba Police Station, and was then taken to Katoomba Hospital for mandatory testing.
“Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident,” NSW Police said.
“Initial information provided to police indicates the man may have been injured after being struck by a car.”
NSW Police are investigating the incident and urge anyone with relevant information, particularly about a man seen walking along the Great Western Highway or Sinclair Crescent in the hours before 11pm, to come forward.
