Woman charged with murder after young man stabbed to death on Dunmore sidewalk, south of Wollongong

A woman has been charged with murder, accused of stabbing a young man to death at Dunmore in southern NSW on Tuesday afternoon.

The 25-year-old man was found critically injured when police were called to a walkway under Shellharbour Rd in Dunmore, 120km south of Sydney, just before 3pm.

He had an abdominal stab wound which paramedics treated, but he could not be saved and died.

There were a “number of people at the scene at the time,” NSW Police said.

An ongoing homicide investigation was launched, with detectives later arresting a 35-year-old woman at an Albion Park Rail home on Wednesday morning.

She was charged with murder and was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested by detectives at a home in Horsley about 3pm on Wednesday.

He is currently assisting police with their investigation.
