NSW man charged after allegedly grooming 10-year-old girl through gaming console chat function

A 32-year-old man allegedly used the chat function of a gaming console to groom a 10-year-old girl in NSW.
The young girl’s mother told police on Monday that her daughter had allegedly been groomed online through the chat function of a gaming console.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Several gaming consoles, computers, and electronic devices were seized by police during a search of a Phillip Street home in Raymond Terrace — an area within NSW’s Hunter Region — on Wednesday.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
He has been charged with two counts of using a carriage service to groom someone under 16 years for sex, as well as procure child under 14 years for unlawful sexual activity and procure a child for unlawful sexual activity.
He was refused bail and was due to front bail division court on Thursday.
