One man dead and another in custody after alleged altercation in Western Sydney

The State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad is investigating the death.

One man is dead and another is in custody after an alleged altercation outside a home in Western Sydney on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency services raced to the address at Dargie St, Mount Pritchard, at about 3.15pm following reports of the alleged dispute.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man but he died at the scene.

He has yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be aged in his 60s.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Fairfield Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation has begun, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area at the time of the incident is urged to contact Fairfield Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
