Penrith shooting: 26-year-old man injured in alleged home invasion, armed trio flee on foot
An investigation is underway following an alleged home invasion and shooting in Sydney’s West.
Emergency services were called to a property on Stafford Street in Penrith around 11.45pm on Sunday following reports of gunfire.
Police were told three men forced entry into the home before shooting a 26-year-old man in the leg and fleeing the scene on foot.

Investigators reportedly believe the attackers arrived in a stolen white ute fitted with fake number plates.
A crime scene has been established, and an investigation has been launched.
